New Website & Job Board Up and Running

Hi everyone!

Our new website is finished!

There are a few new features I wanted to highlight for you:

Email subscribe list: http://www.seattlegirlgeekdinners.com/get-involved/

I will be using Facebook, previous event attendee lists and this email list to announce future events. Please subscribe if you haven’t already.

Job board:

Check out our job board at: http://seattlegirlgeekdinners.jobamatic.com/. Job posts are $10 for 30 days – all the proceeds go directly to IGNITE, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) educational program that connects school-age girls to professional women in STEM careers who act as role models and mentors.

We offer the following two packages to interested companies:

1. Unlimited Posting Starter Package: $150 for an unlimited amount of job postings during one month after start. Thereafter each job post will be $10.
2. Incentive Starter Package: $50 for 6 job postings. This package can be followed up with the Unlimited Posting Starter Package if interested.

Email us to get started with posting jobs …

Also – we will be doing ongoing updates/enhancements – and welcome your feedback (via email). Let us know if there is something you’d like to see featured on the site.

Lastly, a big thank you to Nathalie Steinmetz for building the website for our community!

New SGGD webmaster

Hi everyone!

I would like to introduce our new webmaster Nathalie Steinmetz! Nathalie is working on v2 of our Seattle Girl Geek Community blog, and a few other projects that will be announced later this month.

Wanna know more about Nathalie?

Nathalie is a computer scientist with a research and development background in vertical search engines, semantic technologies and web services. She is very interested in all things search and web mining, and is currently looking into app development (especially Windows 8 apps) and modern agile development frameworks, such as Ruby on Rails.

Thank you so much for your help Nathalie! All of the SGGD community members appreciate it.
